ATTENDANCE :  Being in school every day means your child won't miss out on learning.  Try to schedule appointments and family trips outside of school hours.  If your child asks to stay home "just because" remind them of what they will miss, such as reading group or PE.  Explain they can be absent only if they are sick or in the event of family emergencies.  . . .

Mrs. Sovey Dedication

It was a packed house at the GGS girl's volleyball game on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019.  Just before the 8th grade game began there was a surprise recognition of Mrs. Sharon Sovey for 34 years of service to Gardner Grade School and to the entire Gardner community.  During her career she has taught, sponsored or coached basketball, softball, track, speech, Ag Jeopardy, battle of the books, student . . .

MAP Testing Celebration

Our Gardner Grade Students recently completed the Winter MAP testing session.  I am happy to announce that our students did an excellent job overall.  Building wide our students met or exceeded their individual growth targets at 67% in Math and 64% in Reading.  This far exceeds the beginning of the year goal we set for ourselves and far exceeds the national average of 50% meeting in both reading and math.  Awesome job . . .

Math and Science Night

Attention Parents! Gardner Grade School will be hosting a Family Math and Science Night. This will take place in our gymnasium on March 12, 2019 from 5:30 - 7:00.  There will be lots of fun and interactive activities to do related to Math and Science.  Please mark your calendars and plan on attending.  Last year was a great success and I am sure this year will be as well.  Hope to see you there!
