Cassi Bexson
Jr. High Special Education

Welcome! I am Mrs. Carlson and I am entering my 9th year as the junior high resource teacher at Gardner Grade School! I graduated from Benedictine University with a degree in Elementary Education in 2010. My first job in a school was in a special education cross-categorical classroom as a paraprofessional, and I quickly fell in love with the world of special education! I enrolled in courses at the University of St. Francis that led to my masters degree in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Special Education. Right now I am also taking courses to obtain a masters degree in Educational Leadership!

You can usually find me at at sporting events. I coach softball for the GSWB Lions in the fall and for the GSW Panthers in the spring. In the winter you can usually find me working the scoreboard at volleyball and basketball games. I am also in my 6th year as the Student Council Sponsor. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading (I love thrillers and mysteries!), playing with my adorable doggies (Molly, Honey, & Lexy), and watching the Cubs.
